Austin Bridge & Road was founded in 1918 as Austin Industries by Charles R. Moore. Along with the growing maintenance and construction needs of the petrochemical, power, and manufacturing industries in the 1980s the Austin Industries merged two other operating companies, Austin Paving and Austin Road to form today's Austin Bridge & Road company. Austin Bridge & Road company is specializing in civil, commercial, and industrial construction services to be the leader in the highway, rail, aviation, and transportation infrastructure industry. The corporate head office is located in Dallas, Texas, the United States. Today, Austin company has constructed the most complex urban highway interchanges, specialty bridges, concrete and asphalt paving/production, preconstruction, design-build, construction management, earthwork, and water delivery projects. It is a 100% employee-owned company.
