In my 8 years at Auto-Owners I enjoyed success assisting independent insurance agencies select and insure business that was profitable for Auto-Owners Insurance.
My goals were to always have more new business on the books every year than any other underwriter. Success was achieved for the three years our branch kept tabs of these figures. More importantly, my territory also turned an underwriting profit during my 8 years with the company.
I enjoyed working at Auto-Owners. I retired in early 2013.
Pros and Cons
Good Training. Solid Underwriting Practices. Hey, Free Parking away from downtown.
A lot of turnover of valued employees. Perhaps salaries were a part of it.
