I was recruited by a regional sales manager. The employment package offered was exactly what I was given. I was provided with everything essential to succeed. The insurance plans offered are top notch. And lastly the room for growth within the company is only limited to you. They usually promote from with in the company when possible.

Pros and Cons
Great support team, outstanding training programs
Long Hours.... sometimes repetitive, some holidays worked.

Was hired away from another company to be trained as a manager. The manager of the store was supposed to teach all the Autozone ways of doing things, but preferred to play games on his personal laptop and hit on the younger women team members. When i finally had enough, i contacted the district manager, but nothing happened.

In the beginning the job was great but I realized quickly that they don't care about you or your personal life. I was forced to work open to close on many occasions because of poor staffing by a store manager who was able to leave at 6pm daily. The DM was so terrible they called my the day after I had surgery to admonish me for being off knowing I was not able to come in then told me they weren't going to pay me workman's comp even though the injury was their fault.

Pros and Cons
Met some wonderful people who became friends

The store is very messy with parts and paper left all over the store floor. There are carts left in the middle of the floors stocked with parts to be put away. Customers coming into the store are very unruly and give the store help a hard time and use foul language at store employees who are trying to help them out. Pay is less than minimum wage with yearly increases of 15-20 cents. Store at 721 Main St., Poughkeepsie,NY.

Pros and Cons
Job okay for college student or first time employment.
Job has no future. Pay is very little. If you enjoy hard work with little recognition.

I am a former auto zone employee and I have never worked for a worse company than Auto zone. Auto zone is the worst job you can apply for if you want to be mistreated abused and make little to no money. Not only is there sexual harassment among employees but also towards the customers. There is favoritism always with the managers. As long as I worked there the whole time the manager always secured people hours based on how much he liked you. This is the worst and unprofessional dirty Auto Zone 5160 Vineland Ave, North Hollywood, CA 91601 I also got injured on the job and never received any medical help or compensation.

The good thing about AutoZone is there is plenty of room to grow. However, the pay doesn’t keep up with competitors. Also, apart from customer service you’re expected to be a part-time auto technician. Things like replacing anyone’s car battery, check peoples engine light, replace bulbs, over time gets ridiculous. All for the pay of a regular customer service associate. And god forbid you accept a tip because that’s against company policy. I give the company a 10/10 in terms of being able to achieve promotion. But a solid 0/10 in everything else.

So the pay is good but the managerment suck they don't really want to hear what you have to say I have three kids and a forth one on the way they tell you that you'll only have to work over time some days but it's almost all the time it's not just some days not only that I told them I had to leave at the time I was hired for and they got mad talking about I was hired that I was told that I was going to be working overtime like they want me to the work isn't to bad but your on production so you have to pick by there standards which is like 15 to 20 or more orders a day and sometimes it's just impossible cause they get huge the people there are very friendly it's just management if they want you to do something they get nasty about it no matter what it is you can have someone dieing in your family and they wouldn't care oh they go off a point system so doctors notes don't matter my son had surgery I took them the paperwork from it said doesn't have you it only helps if happens again

Upon bring hired they made me feel comfortable, they hired immediatly at the interview. The training was as long as it took you. They were very respectful of me and my situation. If I had any problems or maybe an appt management went out of there way to make sure I got there or could take care of what I needed to. Working there was enjoyable and I got to do all kinds of different tasks. Made it interesting. And I live card. So it was a win win. The pay is alittle low. But almost worth it! It's great job for a disabled person student retired.. Housewife.

I quit working at Autozone as this is where I caught COVID. After returning to work and still not able to complete my job duties due to the long term effects of the Virus; I yet took another toll of a bad experience when one of my colleagues chose to keep my phone. I traced the device after leaving when I couldn’t my locate it and this coworker sat and watched porn while at the store during his lunch hourS even after filing a police report, so never got to see justice done.

Pros and Cons
Helping customers resolve an already difficult task of self repair of their vehicles.

This company micromanages to the point you can't get anything done that actually needs to be done. They don't offer anywhere near a competitive salary. In fact my boss has had tried to hire so many people but they keep getting turned down because he offered too much... at $10 AN HOUR! who can live off that? Raises if you're lucky to get one is like 17 cents. The only reason I'm still here is because i love the people i work with and don't want to leave them in a bind.

I was there for around 2 years. I went out of my way to be a productive, personable, friendly, hard working and always busy. I never got a raise or bonus and stayed on state healthcare. I went out of my way to work weekends, mornings, closing, and holidays. I worked at various stores, never missed a day, never got "sick," and drove deliveries in addition to running the counter and putting up parts until my shift was done. I was never seen as a hard working employee. After about two years someone started asking questions about the customer cards. Supposedly a customer used their card on my register three times in one day and this looked suspicious. I asked why this was a problem and they said it was indicative of employee theft. I assume this is how they get employees to quit. Before I left the man they sent to speak with me asked if I hated my job why did I stay there? I told him it was because I was a hard working person and I don't quit.

Pros and Cons

Paid $11 / hr part time, told highest could go is $13 but only if full time, did some looking around and that is on the lower end especially in this job market. The system (PCs, Inventory, Organization, etc) was severely disorganized, we were understaffed with IMO people having to do too much. For example I'm a delivery driver first, customer service representative second, I was told I would be spending most of my time doing drives which is what I was looking for. I did not get as much drive time as I was told, but hey I get it can only do so when you get an order and I can't just get paid to sit around. The problem comes in that the system and store is so disorganized and we were understaffed so we would be helping a bunch of customers with the phones going off and we would have to place them on hold, and the hold times could get horrendous, like upwards of 15 to 20 minutes. Running out of characters TLDR; bad system, understaffed, underpaid.

Pros and Cons
Sometimes free lunch, pretty good coworkers (depends on store)
Lower end wage, disorganized, system + machines old and slow, understaffed (could just be the times)
