About AV Technician

What does an AV Technician do?

As AV (Audio Video) Technicians, we meet with Event Coordinators to discuss their audio, lighting, and video requirements need in order to properly layout electrical and sound cables and alter the venue arrangements according to the Coordinator’s diagrams. We also set up and install video monitors, microphones, projectors, speakers, and video cameras while conducting regular visual, sound, and performance quality checks on the AV equipment to avoid any problems during the event.

Core tasks:

  • inspect the electrical equipment to ensure that it conforms with every relevant safety regulation
  • handle sound/visual equipment during live events
