Job Overview: A Team Lead is responsible for driving Backstage sales by creating an efficient shopping experience that will highlight value, newness in trends, fast fashion and convenience. ATeam Lead will assist the Backstage Manager in merchandising and operational execution. Team Leads responsibilities include and are not limited to placing new merchandise to standard, recovery, floor moves, replenishment, shortage control, signing and ensuring markdowns are taken in a timely and accurate manner. A Team Lead will also be responsible for assisting the Backstage SWS Manager in communicating company priorities and direction, as well as guiding and training other Team Members. In addition the Team Lead will be responsible for supervising store opening and closing procedures. Macy's uses a scheduling plan that allows our associates to participate in the creation of their work schedules by managing availability and identifying preferences. Additionally, during key events and peak selling times, Macy's may offer additional shifts to our associates, which they maypick up using the self-scheduling tool. Essential Functions: Drive Sales Assist in the execution of merchandise movement based on business trend, new receipts, on hand assortments and/or seasonal changes as needed. Execute timely and accurate set-up and removal of signs in accordance with Backstage standards.Use RF scanning equipment to execute mark downs and follow up with Team Members to ensure compliance and direct remerchandising as needed.Adhere to Asset Protection and inventory control and compliance procedures; follow shortage programs and procedures.Partner with Receiving Team Manager/Lead to ensure that all new receipts are placed according to standard and are delivered to the Backstage floor in a timely and consistent manner.Customer Set and maintain a high standard for an exceptional customer experience, following Backstage MAGIC standards. Handle all register transactions efficiently, courteously and professionally. Identify and maintain overall recovery standards, including dressing room go backs. Supervisory Monitor checkout line to adjust staffing as necessary for line management.Assist Backstage SWS Manager with training of new Team Members. Perform store opening and closing functions as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.Communication Support the management team in driving a customer centric, fun and engaging culture. Assist Backstage SWS Manager in communicating company priority and direction. Partner with full-line store executives to educate Macy's associates about the Backstage brand and the benefits of having an on-mall off-price partner within the Macy's store. Qualifications: Education/Experience: A minimum of 1 year of retail experience, off-price preferred. Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal skills, ability to interpret instructional documents, such as reports and manuals. Strong verbal communication skills. Mathematical Skills: Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Reasoning Ability: Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team and must have good time management skills.
