I started working for Lear Astronics, which then became Marconi and then became BAE SYSTEMS. I enjoyed working there through all of the transitions. Great company to work for. Great atmosphere and excellent training. The only reason I left was because of a Godfather offer.

I worked for BAE Systems since December 2019. The manager who interviewed me and hired me was great and supportive and he retired in August 2020. They promoted someone internally and was very bad. Note: The upper level management were very good, but my immediate management and above him were bullies. They blocked me from every thing. I didn't even have access to the server and I don't get invited to very important meetings that could affect my work and performance. They wanted me to shoot in the dark. It was very unpleasant, unprofessional and stressful.

Good company to work for as long as you are not working directly under one of the many inept craft managers

Performed stress, structural, thermal, and vibrational analysis on newly designed systems by using SolidWorks and CATIA. Wrote detailed reports on the results of the tests.

This company is stuck in ancient times. Nothing really fresh. They appear to include everyone but it’s only if it benefits them and the shareholders.

I was treated was no respect after being at the job for 28 years. I was let go. I did a lot four Bae while being there. Never trust people running your department was less experience.

Implemented 1K Ada in the JRTC Radio relay;

I had a great director and the employees were very friendly and professional. I worked in a classified office environment, but it was a smaller office.

I was with the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program, where BAE Systems is the Integration Support Contractor (ISC). This was about 50% engineering analysis and 50% administration. BAE has good corporate governance, which makes it a good company to work for. The GBSD ISC could be better managed - it gets lost in the 'administrivia' which keeps them from putting out quality analyses. The Air Force relies more on Aerospace Corp. for that role, with BAE more the simulation and engineering contract administration. Consequently, there are low expectations of the engineers there.

My team replaced an expensive COTS product with in-house scripts. We were given freedom to experiment, and were supported by the Management, who interfaced with the Customer.

I have received tremendous support from BAE Systems. They have great benefits and really good pay. The reason for my 4's is because while development opportunities are plentiful, it's been a little slow to obtain the pay that should result from that development.

worked there since before the organization was founded .was an employee of one of the merging companies that formed BAE. Our business unit was great when self managed but as soon as corporation decided to make everything the same in all sectors etc. things went south. they couldn't adapt there business model to our line of products. We made a lot of money for the company but didn't see any of it in raises or bonuses. Lastly we were always on edge that you would immediately be cut or laid off if work slowed down. and were on a constant race to the bottom to win contracts where we always were forced to over extend ourselves.
