Baltimore County Public School (BCPS) is the 25th largest school district in the U.S and 3rd largest in Maryland. BCPS consists of 175 schools, programs, and centers with 18,496 employees including 9,628 teachers and 115,038 students as of september 30, 2019. Out of 50380.4% American Indian, 7.1% Asian, 39.5% Black or African American, 11.9% Hispanic, 0.1% Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander and 35.9% White. 13.0% students are receiving special education services and 48.7% are eligible for free and reduced-price meals. 7.1% of students are English learners. Students came from 114 countries across the world. BCPS is committed to providing an environment that promotes student health and ability to learn. The school budget is based upon the goals and policies of the board whereas the BCPS earned $1.74 billion for the financial year 2021.
