SImply put, the worst job I've ever had. The "world class" traiing does not prepare you for almost anything when you start taking calls. Very impersonal culture for both agents and customers. People would wait 45 minutes to reach us and the first thing we do is to try to send them to do it themselves online. To me the problem should be solved first, then suggest future options for self service.

Pros and Cons
It was remote at least
Low Pay, Morale, etc.

“At Bank of America, I loved the collaborative culture and supportive leadership. One memorable moment was during a credit decisioning enhancement project—I spotted a conflict between Risk and Fraud requirements and suggested a joint workshop. That session brought both teams into alignment and led to a 15% improvement in decision accuracy. It was a great example of how initiative and teamwork are truly valued at BofA.”

Pros and Cons
Friendly environment
have nothing negative to say for the enterprise complains project team.

This company does not consider actual leadership qualities when they select leaders. They look for people who are comfortable laying off 10% or more of their staff every quarter to hit their earnings due to the bank’s inability to manage its finances. Expect to be reorganized at least every 6 months.

Pros and Cons
Decent insurance
Absolutely terrible leadership at all levels.

Oh wow, I've been hoping to learn a little more about Bank of America before applying—do you think the lack of real leadership and frequent layoffs are a big hurdle when trying to inovate there?
avatar-of-creator
It is literally like rolling the dice in Vegas. There are some teams that do interesting, innovative things, but it may be difficult to get recognized based on how ambitious the manager is. Also, there are serious turf wars over ownership of the latest, greatest thing. For example, when data science became a hot new topic, organizations across the entire bank rebranded themselves as data science teams, and deputized themselves as data scientists. With so many data science teams, consolidation and displacements were inevitable. Even if you land your dream position you may find yourself, two or three reorgs later, doing testing or something completely unrelated to your preferred role. If you are very lucky, network relentlessly, and are always prepared for change, you might have a good experience and even make it to a senior leadership role.

This was the place that gave me the opportunity to learn all the avenues of life skills and professionalism. I enjoyed all the associates I worked with and the management commitment towards enhancing everyones skills to enable our group as one of the best if not the best. My efforts and contribution was recognized and made all the difference in my development as a person. I highly recommend BOA to anyone looking to enhance and develop their skills.

Three temp roles got me a permanent position with BofA. Once I was made into a full employee, I was given some of the most challenging duties the back office had, including federally regulated work. The team was great, the role required a wide variety of skills, management put a lot of trust in me. Ultimately, I ended up functioning as a team lead when it was discovered that I had been trained on a plethora of projects that management had forgotten about and nobody else was trained on. This is one position that I regret having the company phase out. It would have made for a fantastic career.

Excellent financial institution to work for. However, I worked at Bank of America during the time CEO Mr. Hugh McColl was there. Mr. McColl was the Best CEO in history who care about human life, the banking organization and his team members. There were never diversity issue's pertaining to Mr. McColl. Pay was excellent and awesome incentives.

Pros and Cons
