About Banquet Captain

What does a Banquet Captain do?

We, banquet captains, supervise the banquet events of the organizations or schools. We are responsible for managing the banquet events. We manage the schedules of the staff and ensure smooth operations. Our duties include the safety and comfort of the event attendants. We welcome the guests when they arrive at the functions. In addition, we ensure that the seating arrangements are on point. It is our responsibility to assist the organizers and managers with event planning. We set up the timetables and shifts for staff. As banquet captains, we manage the timetables. Some of us also develop the staff and provide training.

Core tasks:

  • managing the events setup
  • monitoring the equipment and supplies for different programs and events
  • cleaning the facilities and venues
