About Banquet Manager

What does a Banquet Manager do?

We monitor the hosting of banquets as Banquet Managers to ensure that clients have a good banquet experience. Consultation with Banquet Sales Directors and Head Chefs, deciding the number of wait staff, and preparing the design and configuration of locations are all part of our responsibilities. We can also be called in to treat beverage requests on occasion.

Core tasks:

  • with the Banquet Sales Director and the Head Cook, reviewing the terms of the sales deal
  • the arrangement of the venue based on the number of visitors and the type of event
  • choosing the right number of table waiters and servers
  • supervision of the placement of tables, benches, cutlery, pots, cups, table linens, centerpieces, heating lamps, serving utensils, and carving stations
  • consult with the Head Chef on the order in which the meal courses will be prepared
