Baptist health System was founded in 1903 by a group of thirty physicians from the Bexar County Medical Society, along with more than two dozen professions and businesses. The demand for healthcare services increased as the community grew. Baptist Health System now includes acute care hospitals, urgent care clinics, imaging centers, and free-standing emergency rooms, all founded over a century ago. The mission remains unchanged: to assist people in achieving long-term health via compassionate service motivated by faith. To satisfy the healthcare requirements of the community, it is in continuous struggle to improve the facilities. Northeast Baptist, Mission Trail Baptist, North Central Baptist, Baptist Medical Center, and the newest facilities, Baptist Orthopedic Hospital and Resolute Health in New Braunfels all have stunning expansions.
