In the centre of Brooklyn, at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Flatbush Avenue, the Barclays Center sets new standards for the world’s most exciting entertainment and sporting event venue. The Barclays Center was developed by Brooklyn-based real estate developer Forest City Ratner Companies and designed by award-winning architectural firms AECOM and SHoP Architects. The Barclays Center is the most advanced home of the NBA Brooklyn Nets and the New York Islanders of NH L. It has one of the most intimate seating configurations designed for a modern multifunctional stage. As a model of sustainable design and construction, the Barclays Center has won the LEED© New Building Silver Award from the US Green Building Conference. This also made it the first professional sports and entertainment venue in the New York metropolitan area to receive this status.
