About Bartender Server

What does a Bartender Server do?

As bartender servers, we garnish, mix and serve beverages and food to clients. Our responsibilities include greeting clients, learning about what they prefer, answering questions, and recommending menu items. We serve and prepare beverages and food. Upselling different items, creating recipes, using proper ingredients and equipment, and handling basic cleaning duties are also our job duties. We mix and select ingredients, garnish available glasses and serve beverages to customers. Moreover, we plan menus for drinking and informing customers about specials and new beverages.

Core tasks:

  • welcoming customers, listening to people for beverage preferences and making recommendations
  • checking identification to make sure clients are of legal age to consume alcohol
  • ordering supplies and taking inventory to ensure tables and bars are well-stocked
