Basalite started in the mid-1930s as part of the Basalt Rock Company in Napa, California, and was purchased by Pacific Coast Building Supplies in 1979, becoming one of Western North America's largest suppliers of concrete masonry products. Structural blocks, interlocking paving stones, wall structures, retaining walls, ornamental and garden products, and a wide range of packaged concrete products are among the company's product lines. In most product lines, Basalite offers a full range of custom colors, shapes, and sizes, and it also collaborates with architects to produce effects that highlight the building's architecture. Builders and developers have access to the entire line as well as custom options. Medical/dental services, disability care, life insurance, 401(k), profit sharing retirement account, and health plans are all included in their affordable compensation and benefits package.
