As Battalion Chiefs, we are subordinate Fire Chiefs. Our main duty is to administer the daily emergency and non-emergency operations of our fire department. This includes administrative, supervisory, and technical activities. We are tasked with scheduling roles, creating work schedules, and managing personnel for the fire department. Apart from this, we assist in developing annual department goals and preparing budgets. We are mandated to enforce policies, procedures, and directives relevant to the operations of our department. In our collaborative capacity, we keep contact with committees and authorities. In case of emergency, we act as the officer-in-charge for fire and rescue operations. Working as Battalion Chiefs, we supervise lieutenants and subordinate staff.
