Bay Area Children's Theatre

The Bay Area Children's Theatre (BACT) was formed in 2004 with the goal of bringing high-quality theatre to Bay Area families. Headquartered in Oakland, California, the group focuses on literary adaptations of classic children's literature. They hope to connect with a younger generation of theatergoers and motivate new people to widen their imaginations to other worlds by producing challenging and entertaining shows that stress artistic excellence. BACT is a non-profit foundation with a 501 (c) 3 status. In nearly 16 years, the organization's performances and educational activities have impacted over 700,000 children and adults. All of Bay Area Children's Theatre's programs are based on the process of developing creative thinking.
