BAVC (Bay Area Video Coalition) is a Centre for media makers in the Bay Area, serving freelancers, filmmakers, job-seekers, activists, and artists. Founded in 1976, BAVC offers compatible media making solutions to makers and producers, advocating for the individuals whose stories are not heard, and provides the resources to individuals who want to create, share, and amplify their stories. BAVC's diverse, innovative programs lead the field in media training for youth and educators, technology and multimedia focused workforce development, visually-driven new media storytelling and audio-visual preservation. BAVC has been a trusted community educator and collaborator for the media arts world. BAVC’s career services are a customizable suite of workshops, classes, and individual sessions focused on the nuts and bolts of placing the employees as their greatest asset.
