About Behavioral Health Technician

What does a Behavioral Health Technician do?

As Behavioral Health Technicians, we develop and carry out individual treatment plans under the psychiatric doctor’s supervision to provide adequate medication for the patient in order to reduce their physical, mental, or emotional pain. We also check their medical history to search for any allergies and examine any drug that they are currently taking to avoid drug interaction while documenting the process. We schedule further appointments with the patients to determine the treatment’s effectiveness and take notes of any new development in their lives.

Core tasks:

  • ensure that each patient lives in a safe and supportive environment
  • alert medical and law enforcement on any suicidal thought
