About Behavioral Therapist

What does a Behavioral Therapist do?

As Behavioral Therapists, we help patients address and overcome unhealthy and harmful behaviors. We are also responsible for helping patients overcome traumas, phobias, and addictions. Our job is to carefully listen to the problems defined by the patient and work on the ways to overcome them. We derive out personalized and effective treatment plans for patients to get rid of certain harmful behaviors. We also teach coping mechanisms to patients to help them properly manage a stressful situation. It is our job to recommend the activities and exercise that will help the patient in adopting healthy behaviors and eliminating the unhealthy ones.

Core tasks:

  • briefly understand the problems faced by the patient
  • design effective and personalized treatment plans for patients to get rid of harmful behaviors
  • track the progress of treatment of a patient
  • change the treatment plan if needed
  • make the patient aware of coping mechanism to deal with stressful situations
