I started as a Telephone Operator in 1968 and worked doing this job until 1973.
I than started looking for office work within the different company departments in which I was very successful. I enjoyed my 37 years of work with AT&T and would highly recommend this company for a great future.

friendly people, vacation time, paid holidays and plenty of other benefits
I really cannot complain all my time at AT&T was pretty smooth with no major problems.

1987 started was young u could make all the money u wanted to make as years passed great job if ur single but during bad weather cut cables im not going to lie it can put a strain on a young marriage.as time passed things stayed about the same we we were rewarded taking out to eat but with new leadership locally early to mid 2000 to 2006 it became awful people were quitting getting fired because of this leadership but i had alot of memories and made alot of good friends. you can make it a lifelong career not sure abt ot now because the cellphones have taking alot peoples land lines out there home i would recommend but it can be tough
