Benton County is located in the western corner of Arkansas, United States. Having a population of 221,339, it is the second-most populous county in Kansas. Its county seat is Bentonville and was named after Thomas Hart Benton, a senator from the United State of Missouri. It is part of the northwest Arkansas region and is home to Walmart's corporate headquarters. The county is governed by a Republican form of government and is among the few counties to resist the appeal of Southern favorite sons and Bill Clinton.
