About Beverage Manager

What does a Beverage Manager do?

As beverage managers, we are responsible for supervising the beverage program for the bars, catering companies, restaurants, and cruise ships. We must have strong knowledge about famous alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to entertain the customers accordingly. The creation of beverage programs and maintaining the required inventory are some of the core duties of our job. We are also responsible for managing and training the employees associated with the mixing and serving of drinks. Negotiation with vendors and apply certain strategies to get a lower price is a very important aspect of this job.

  • plan, forecast the food and beverage orders
  • manage and train the staff for mixing and serving
  • build a strong relationship with vendors and management of inventory
  • negotiate with customers and get feedback about the food and beverage
