BlackBrush

The BlackBrush management team has been concentrating on the exploration, development, and production of the company's upstream assets in South Texas for almost a decade. Scott Martin and Phil Mezey, who have combined expertise of more than 32 years in South Texas, lead the team. From 2004 to 2006, management expanded both companies until Regency Energy Partners paid $350 million for the midstream company. In March 2011, EIG Global Energy Partners contributed an additional $420 million in cash, totaling over $600 million, to help the business grow its oil and gas holdings. BlackBrush now runs over 300 oil and gas wells in south Texas and plans to drill 50 wells in the coming year with a capital investment of more than $200 million.
