BVHS was founded in 1891 to provide health care services to the area residents of Findlay. Over 100 years of existence has changed many things for the BVHS, but the care of the people remains the same. This medical facility is in the Northwest Ohio region. BVHS is a non-profit and integrated health care system for the public. A community board of trustees representing large and small business, law, finance, education, and medicine oversees the BVHS of all operations. The increased community in the Findlay made major changes in the BVHS in the 1980s, 1990s, 2007, and 2009. This medical hospital is one of the largest employers in the area with over 1600 associates. This hospital serves as an eight country area that includes Hancock, Putnam, Henry, Seneca, Allen, Wyandot, and Hardin Counties. Besides these facilities, a group of over 600 volunteers support BVHS through their contribution of time and money.
