Boerne Independent School District is headquartered in Boerne, Texas, United States. The school district was established in 1907. It is an independent public school district serving students and residents in Kendall County, parts of Bexar, Comal Counties, and communities of Fair Oaks and Scenic Oaks. They offer primary and secondary education for (pre-kindergarten- 12th grade) students in 12 schools. The district serves basic educational services for approximately 8,732 students and academic and non-academic staff of over 470 in those 12 schools, including 7 elementary schools, 3 intermediate or middle schools, and 2 high schools. It also consists of one academy and alternative schools as an option for students. The school district is recognized by the Texas Educational Agency. The superintendent of the district is Thomas Price.
