I worked for 19 years at the British Embassy. It is a great place to work although there a lot of opportunities to grow for locally engaged staff.

Friendly environment, good excellent working conditions
no opportunities for local staff to get better positions

Excellent work culture, amazing colleagues, opportunity for excellent learning and development, chance to work closely with local authorities.
Work can be fast paced and you should be able to work out of hours
Pros and Cons
variety of different projects and incidents that will keep you always occupied
out of hours calls can be stressful, case management can be stressful

I had enjoyed my work there, working with and supervising different projects and companies. There were daily problems that were a good challenge to solve with my team for a new daily start.
