We, broadcast engineers, interpret and execute commands and requests of producers, program directors and other parties. Ascertaining that the broadcasting of programmes is timely and has highest quality, is our responsibility as broadcast engineers. We are also in charge of performing repairs, maintenance and updates on interactive media, satellite transmission, video and broadcast equipment, to ensure high operating efficiency. We are as well tasked with installation and watching the performance of audiovisual links amongst units for different locations. Designing architectures, set up and testing of equipment, systems and circuits is our duty as broadcast engineers. We are also expected to be on the lookout for technical faults to ensure optimal services and communication. As broadcast engineers, we monitor technological industry changes to ensure early adoption to avoid lagging behind.
