Ive worked for them a total of 6 years, regarding the area I worked at, its a physically demanding job, and high on demand, because scaffolds are necessary in industrial job sites, they seem to always hire new people, of course they hire for other trades but I didnt get past scaffolding; At the same time they're always laying off, the money is good, but stability is off balance, specially if you're just starting out, it also depends on the craft you work. Scaffolding, is pretty much either always hiring or laying people off, im not sure if they take locals into consideration, because the people that leave are coming from different states, and it also depends on who you know, if you go in there to fill in application its because someone already put your name on the list, not necessarily because you're qualified for the job.

Pros and Cons
Good money, and benefits.
Instability, not too much room for growth, hard to get in if you dont know anyone.

I started off as a lead carpenter, moved to foreman and then general foreman. When the superintendent was let go that put me in the position as general foreman the new superintendent moved me back down to foreman for reasons that wasn't job related ( he had a grudge against me). He followed me every where and when he could not find a reason to fire me he made one up. I think he was mad because i used to work for him and i was moving up at a faster pace than he was, but I could be wrong.

Pros and Cons
good workers and most are friendly, and they put your safety above everything else
The new superintendent wanted to rush to get things done
