Buffalo Wild Wings was founded in 1982 by two friends from Buffalo, NY, who had recently moved to Ohio. Craving authentic Buffalo wings, with none to be found nearby, they decided to open a neighborhood-style wing joint close to home. Since then, the company has grown to have a store in every state in the U.S. and continue to open locations around the world under the B-Dubs brand. One thing remains the same though: Buffalo Wild Wings is the ultimate place to get together with friends, watch sports, drink beer and eat wings; as well as a place to work hard with a guest focused approach, while enjoying the fun atmosphere. The company is a keen supporter of local sports and educational organizations as a way of giving back to the community.

I worked for BWW in Shenandoah, TX off and on from 2008 to 2023. It was an amazing place to work under the old ownership. But once it was bought out by Spark, it has gone downhill. The general manager that they refuse to get rid of is a cocaine addict who actively does drugs on shift, gives it to employees and also purchases it from employees. He is very passive aggressive, will punish you with your schedule if you do anything to make him mad, makes sexually harassing comments, and pays no consequences for any of his actions. Do not work here while he is still the GM.

Pros and Cons
Fun environment, great money, good staff members excluding the GM

This place literally discriminates against people for having disabilities. Terrible place to work, terrible culture. Managers who form an opinion about employees on the first day and don't even give them a chance to improve.

Almost every shift i had to do 70% of the work, managers are always too busy to help you, every day has something go wrong and results in everyone getting stressed and just a bad work environment.

Pros and Cons
friendly customers when the food comes out right and fast which is rare
unprofessional/poor management, slow kitchen, one person usually does it all, too many.

I opened up a new store and it looked promising. Their mistake was that they hired everyone new, so no one knew how to run things besides the four managers. The kitchen was all new, so food came out after hours of waiting, making tables upset (understandably). But the worst part is that they hired too many servers so gave each person about 15 hours a week and then threatened to cut the hours of servers they didn't favor (practically fire). Employers need to understand people are working because they need to make money for bills but my experience with BWW is that they do not care about their employees. Oh - and they blamed the servers for food not coming out quickly and will cut your hours for that as well, even though you have no control over the kitchen.

Pros and Cons
Free food, employees are nice
Quality of food is bad, management, cheap food

Decent! Management is a little bit too lenient at times after multiple complaints from different people about one specific coworker. Customers have been very aggressive & rude often, theres been a few occurrences where customers have tried to fight staff/management, so if you’re considering working at a Buffalo, prepare yourself. Tips are severely lacking, no matter how good you are as a server.

Made decent money especially on UFC Fight Nights they’re literally wasn’t an empty seat in the house. Have to watch out for managers that don’t what they are doing or on power trips. Everyone I worked with was great for the most part, but they were all just young 20 somethings who could be immature at times.

We do live and learn, but if you are looking for a job where you can work your employees shifts for them day in, and day out, because they just cannot handle showing up to the job they accepted, this is definitely the place for you! The entire time I worked here, I used to marvel at how the standards of the general population are so low, that they actually patronize this place and help it to continue existing. The food quality and presentation is sub-standard and very bottom shelf. And that is putting it mildly. Operations? It's a mess. Since they were acquired by a fast food conglomerate who wants to buy up the entire planet, their mission is to mix brands and fix what isn't broken. They hire idiots at upper management who literally pull brainless ideas out of thin air without any logic behind them. Employee and manager turnover is extremely high and guest complaints are perpetual. I did live and learn, and what I learned was to leave and get a job elsewhere. I'm proud of that.

Pros and Cons
They offer insurance plans. The cost is reasonable.
I could go on forever.
