About
Description
As Building Specialists, we are responsible for advising and assisting the officials in all areas of construction. We perform special projects as assigned by the higher authorities and assist in program planning and procedure developments. We participate in budget development and allocation and represent the officials at meetings. Performing field inspections and determining compliance with specifications and standards is one of our main responsibilities. We make recommendations in areas of expertise for the programs and serve as technical consultants for industry and governmental agencies. Working as Building Specialists, we supervise and control the disbursement of contract monies.
Core tasks:
- review plan and specifications to identify errors and violations
- inspect building projects
- prepare reports and work schedules for workers
