This sounds intriguing! I'm curious, do you think the lack of recognition outweighs te benefits of starting out in customer service there?

For the first two weeks everything was fine but then after the first two weeks, I proceeded to work one whole year at the same exact location after about the three weeks mark and being scheduled for six hours shifts for continuously for three weeks I thought everything was fine but then after those three weeks they only started scheduling me to five hour and 30 minute shifts continuously and the reason why thatâs important is because if your shifted if your schedule is less than six hours you get only 115 minute break but if you work for six whole hours you get a whole 30 minute paid break what they would do is they would schedule me for 5 1/2 hours only for 1/15 minute break and then just when Iâm about to go home about 10 minutes my shift ends. They ask me to stay for three hours later just wasnât one off. This happened almost every day I was scheduled Last meeting screwing around company policy and only allowing me 1:15 minute break which I believe I can sue for.
Pros and Cons
Sometimes cheap clothes thatâs it
Thereâs legitimately not enough letters to explain the issues

I started at the store actually a week before we even opened so I helped build it I worked there for over 3 years but ended up quitting when we got a new manager who promoted his friend to a management position when she had only a month experience and I had 3 years it was very disheartening from what I heard the manager was later fired for embezzlement
Pros and Cons
Paid vacations one week paid after a year two weeks paid after 2 years
Because of the manager I had I felt I had no opportunity for any promotion

I enjoyed working under two managers but when the third manager came he was rude, yelled at employees, had a bad temper, and never listened to his employees. I enjoyed the work so I tried to hang in but eventually decided to it wasn't worth the money to be yelled at so I left and went to work for The Dollar Tree where I was treated 10 times better and was able to advance to a managers position.
Pros and Cons
Employee discount.
poor management

Corporate focused only on sales per square foot. Could care less if you jave only 12 pairs of pants in the entire Women's dept. And you are expected to still drive a sales increase. You can have a clean backroom with all the merchandise out, have the best inventory numbers, but still not be good enough. They simply do not listen: you cannot sell what you do not have. And you cannot order anything yourself: you just take what they send in. Having worked for the world's largest retailer for decades prior, the difference was deplorable. Egotistical. Went through 3 superiors in 3 years.
Pros and Cons
Pay was decent and so were vacation days
No control on ordering; business model misfocus; corporate arrogance

I love the store for my personal reason and Iâm like the people I work with but I donât like how everyone gets pay. For example I been there for 3 years or maybe more since I started I havenât had a raise. The only raise I had if of work . I do multitask and position of duties in the wear house and with the experience and my hard work and not many absent and no tardiness I still earn the same amount of money like the new employee. Burlington doesnât value you on ur skills or work u put into there company. Sorry to say but itâs true.
Pros and Cons
Flexible schedule
Supervisor is not fare with hours with all employees

It was typical retail work which I had done most of my life. They had a lot figured out. This was appealing. Opportunities that were described never materialized. Support for Store Management is very lacking. You are constantly looking over your shoulder due to employee help line that is just an avenue to settle scores. I decided to move on after ASM positions were eliminated every year I was there. Sure enough my position was eliminated about 2 months after leaving.
Pros and Cons
Pay for management was ok.
Need I say more.

I want to thank my hiring manager for giving me the chance to work alongside her and her newly found team. During my interview, there were many others who were far better experienced than myself. However, I do not think that is what the hiring manager looked, rather she looked for potential. The potential to acquire professional growth, to bring results, to build a persons confidence in achieving things. During the time I had while working there, as a thank you, I worked hard and gave the effort to show that she was not wrong to have hired me for her store.
Pros and Cons
Friendly Office and floor employees

I worked here as my first job at 18, they forced me to miss my prom even though I asked for it off a month in advance. One manager told me I couldnât have my graduation from high school off until I got someone to cover me. The made me work until 11:30pm on school nights leaving up past 2am doing homework, while also a student athlete. Wouldnât really recommend unless you know how to set your boundaries because this company will take advantage of you at every turn.
Pros and Cons
Good people
Poor management

The company did not do anything outside of the job.
Did not enjoy working for the manager I had. She was late always.

Support Technician
Bridgewater, NJ - April 2, 2021
Worked there for 6 months as a contractor helping their store, corporate, and warehouse employees with their technical issues. Was stuck on resolving account issues for ~4 months until management realized that nobody was giving me the training I should've been getting over those months. At the end of those 6 months my contract was cut short with no prior warning due to budgeting reasons. Aside from those issues though it was okay helpdesk job.
Pros and Cons
Fully remote, frequent overtime opportunities, helpful colleagues
Iffy job security, lackluster training

I dont wish to comment as the saying goes "loose lips sink ships". HR and Upper Management only care about moving their own agenda rather than help staff.
