Burlington, Vermont's largest city, with a population of roughly 40,000 people. The city is 15.5 square miles in size and is located on the eastern coast of Lake Champlain. The city is home to four universities, including the University of Vermont (UVM). The University is situated on a 451-acre campus that overlooks the city and has undergraduate, graduate, and medical institutions. In addition, the city has two colleges: Champlain College, which comprises more than 40 buildings on more than 22 acres, and Burlington College, which is smaller in size. All eligible government positions are offered in full and part-time, temporary, seasonal, and internship settings. Employees and their families receive a comprehensive benefits package.
