Calgon Carbon Corporation is an Environmental Services provider that is based in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, and enables the provision of Activated Carbon Products with over 700 applications. They also specialize in providing Ultraviolet technologies for water and wastewater disinfection. Tailored UV solutions are also supplied for ballast water treatment, groundwater remediation, and contaminants removal by its affiliated company Hyde Marine. It was founded in 1942, specializes in expertise that includes granular activated carbon, ion exchange, UV technologies, and mercury removal. Calgon Carbon introduced an advanced UV oxidation process to remediate contaminated groundwater over 20 years ago. Calgon Carbon uses granular activated carbon (GAC) for the removal of unpleasant taste and odor in the early 1960s, it is also involved in the development of ultraviolet light technology for pathogen control, and also set a new standard for techniques for perchlorates removal by using ion exchange technology in the year 2000. The company aims to make water safe and clean to drink and use, and also provide competitive salary benefits to the employees.
