California State University (CSU), Sacramento is a public university originated in 1947 as Sacramento State College. CSU is the eleventh oldest school in the 23-campus California State University system that grants 151 different bachelor’s degrees, 69 master’s degrees, 28 types of teaching credentials, and five doctoral degrees. The university is consistently one of the supreme three destinations among all universities in the state of California Community College students and welcomes over 4,000 new transfers each academic year. Annually, the university awards and awarded 7,838 degrees. Since its inception, CSD has an enrollment of approximately 31,500 students and alumni base of more than 240,000. CSU comprises dedicated staff and renowned educators, scholars and researchers who make the university an outstanding system of higher education and a great place to work.
