About Camp Counselor

What does a Camp Counselor do?

As camp counselors, we are responsible for supporting and motivating the campers to enjoy all the events. We help to plan events and monitoring of participants to effectively respond against any incidents. We are also responsible for ensuring children's safety during camp activities. We assist in the activity planning process, get special training to support and lead the participants in camp events. As a camp counselor, our organization and leadership skills must be strong and decisive. During fire and emergency drills, we have experience in ensuring the health and safety of campers.

Core tasks:

  • cooperating with other staff members to schedule camp events
  • supporting and leading the campers during activities
  • proper monitoring of campers to prevent accidents
  • maintaining, cleaning, and make guarantee proper use of camp equipment and facilities
  • proper reporting and recording of accidents for parents and other camp staff members
