CaptionCall is a service that provides captioned telephones to those with hearing loss who have trouble hearing on the phone. CaptionCall employs innovative technology and a communications assistant to swiftly offer written captions of what callers say on a large, easy-to-read screen, similar to captioned television. CaptionCall is only available to people who have a medically recognized hearing disability that requires them to utilise it. The federal government's Interstate Telecommunications Relay Service budget supports the CaptionCall service. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) mandates that people with hearing impairments receive functionally equal communications. This fund was created to meet that mandate.
