Cardinal Health Company Reviews and Ratings
Patient Engagement Coordinator
Remote - May 10, 2025
I worked with Cardinal Health for about 8 months. I loved everything about the job except having to blind call customers. They were rude and belittle at times. My mental health suffered. I would much rather do inbound calls. They know why they are calling in unlike calling patients who have no idea who or why we are calling and then get mad.
Pros and Cons
I loved the culture and othe employess. I loved being remote
There are no cons against this company. They are amazing to work for. It just wasn't fore me.

It was great but the job got to heavy. I couldn't handle the work load. I needed help and they wouldn't give it to me. It felt like they wanted me gone. Nothing was good enough for them
Pros and Cons
Good pay nice hours good coworkers
No help when it was tough always being blamed and no encouragement

Hey, I was considering a position with Cardinal Health—do you think the heavy workload is manageable with time, or is it consistently overwhelming?

Management is approachable and flexible. Hours are not fixed but when it’s busy it’s expected to stay and work a bit late, which is planned and not too often. The idea is to be able to do all the work load in the 8 hours. Vacations are unlimited and in as-needed basis, as long as reasonable. Pay is above the median for the industry.
Pros and Cons
Friendly office, big parking lot, flexible hours.
No cafetería and no restaurant at a walkable distance.

They are more about numbers and didn't care about accuracy as they stated someone else would fix it later if there were issues. I am not comfortable with that.
Pros and Cons
Great educational opportunities
Didn't really include me in anything. Didn't try to get to know me. me.

Tried to speak up about some shady things that were going on in my department and I ended up getting retaliated against and eventually fired. They have no interest in correcting the real problems, techs falsify documents on a daily basis. They will get rid of you if you try to speak up about things. This goes up several levels. I even had two witnesses that they would never bother to interview about this. I had pictures & proof that I took to my supervisor, and HR, but rather than try to resolve the real issues. I guess they decided I was too much of a problem for speaking up. A girl started trouble with me one day and put her hands in my face, but since she was the same race as my supervisor and our lead tech, somehow I got blamed and terminated. I begged them to pull up some camera footage or something to prove my innocence, and they absolutely refused. There’s no doubt in my mind that I was set up because I spoke up. Different rules for different people/races at that place.
Pros and Cons
Paid breaks

Case Manager Care Coordinator

I worked at Cardinal Health as a Case Manager and couldn't wait to find my next job. It was fine at first but then when work slowed the team was forced to look for other postions within the company. I had interviews for several positons, but as soon as I was offered one postion I was given no option to continue with my other interviews which would of been a step up and more money. The program coordinator lied to me directly, he stated tuition reimbustment is across the board at Cardinal, but it is not, the HR team told me it's per team and if they have the money for it in the program and also it's in the paperwork when transfer to another postion. The benefits are good, pay is okay, but could be better. It's not a bad place to work, but be ready to suck up to managment to get anywhere.
Pros and Cons
Benefits are great
Managment lies & horrible traning

Cardinal Health was like a sweatshop they had no sympathy for any employees that were Truly sick or couldn't make it into work. My husband had stage 4 cancer cancer and treated it like it was a common cold They had no sympathy for his condition They just wanted you to come in and do the job nothing else . I would never recommend anyone to work at that place.

I was with Cardinal for almost 14 years and my job was outsourced and therefore eliminated. Generous severance package.
Pros and Cons
I was working from home two days a week with flexibility.
Parking would be an issue if you came in late in the day and had to park way out.

I got pregnant while working here and every minute you were late or while you were in restroom was used against you. I had to get a doctors note that specified that due to my condition (pregnancy) I was needing to use the bathroom more often. I had terrible morning sickness and headaches and it was always “well you can use pto, but might count against you” when my appointments came to every 2 weeks I ran out of pto and there was always a comment to be made about me taking 1-2 hours off or leaving early. Maternity leave wouldn’t even kick in until days after my delivery. It was a very a trásfuga job. They didn’t care that I was pregnant and obviously going trough some changes, I know they wanted to fire me but they couldn’t. I ended up quitting because I just couldn’t take it. Not to mention that there was always someone telling me I kept making the same mistake and they were minor ones. Like I forgot to add my initials on the note.
Pros and Cons
You get 2 small breaks
No Hour flexibility, employee favoritisms

Sr. Network Engineer
Waukegan, IL - March 26, 2021
I worked there doing advanced Engineering task during a time when the company was growing on purchasing other companies and converting those sites into their model. The model was designed to reduce the number of employee's needed to keep them afloat, eventually shutting them down. With no regards for who they stepped on doing so. Additionally we were treated as if we didn't know anything about Network Engineering.
Pros and Cons
There is no benefit for working for this company. Many associates were always looking to move on.
Condescending attitude towards the workers.

I left a good company to come here for a salary increase. What I found was a poor infrastructure, management who didn't know which direction they wanted to go, turnover like I've never seen before, and antiquated systems. Biggest career mistake of my life.
Pros and Cons
Free parking, flexible work location
Management can't align on priorities; too many changes in direction
