About Care Partner

What does a Care Partner do?

As Care Partners, we are the familiar face person selected by the patient. We take care of them in their healing process. The nursing assistant guides us about patient care during the stay at the hospital. We provide emotional support to the patient. Besides, we also take care of their food. Some of us also assist patients in walking, those who are in a wheelchair. We ensure proper personal hygiene of the patient. Patient discharge planning is our responsibility. Additionally, we also take care of their prescribed medications. Our work involves strong compassion towards the patient for fast recovery.

Core tasks:

  • assisting the patient in the healing process
  • taking care of their personal hygiene and housekeeping
  • preparing and feeding them meals
  • helping patients in their movements around home as well as taking them out for events
  • managing their hospital discharge process
