About Career Transition Specialist

What does a Career Transition Specialist do?

As Career Transition Specialists, we are responsible for providing transition services to projected graduates and former enrollees. We work with each individual to analyze their strengths and weaknesses. We conduct personality and aptitude tests to determine their actual interests. Assisting in improving their resumes, cover letters, and interview skills is part of our duty. We also help them to improve their job search strategies throughout their career transition period. Working as Career Transition Specialist, we establish relations with other businesses. We develop job leads by direct contact with our partners of the local workforce development board. Finally, we conduct weekly contact with our graduates to review their performance.

  • assisting in the resume and cover letter making
  • outreaching potential employers and businesses to establish contacts
  • conducting assessments to determine the career interests of graduates
  • reviewing and reporting performance of graduates
