About Case Worker

What does a Case Worker do?

As case workers, we help people in resolving their issues so that their lives can get better. We evaluate different steps necessary to improve someone’s situation and carry out the legwork to make the change happen. Some of us deal with older people that might help those get rides to receive meal delivery or doctor’s appointments. We counsel and assist disadvantaged children from troubled houses and individuals with serious diseases. We are responsible for making regular visits to homes and reporting and on the needs of families are also our duties.

Core tasks:

  • escorting individuals to appointments with counselors, legal aid workers, doctors, etc.
  • assessing and compiling case reports containing relevant information
  • motivating needy individuals to participate in rehabilitation programs
