(trading as Casey's) is a Midwestern and Southern convenience store chain based in Ankeny, Iowa, a suburb of Des Moines, and established in Boone, Iowa, in 1967 (54 years ago). Casey's had 2,146 locations in 16 states as of April 30, 2019. Its outlets, the majority of which are located small towns with populations of less than 5,000 people, sell baked goods like pizza, donuts and non-food items including health and beauty aids, fuel and automotive supplies. The corporation owns two tobacco outlets, one liquor shop, and one grocery shop in addition to Casey's and Casey's General Store locations. About 60% of Casey's earnings come from the selling of prepared foods. Casey's caters to the needs of small-town residents.
