The Center for Disability Rights, Inc. is also known as CDR. It is a non-profit, community-based independent, integration, and civil rights advocacy and support service organization designed to help people with all types of disabilities. CDR was established in 1990 as a volunteer center but after 1998 it became an independent organization and a part of a national network of Independent Living Centers. The primary headquarter is based in Rochester, New York, the United States. The other satellite offices are located in Geneva and Corning, New York. The President/Chief Executive Officer is Bruce Darling. CDR offers services in providing community supplemental needs, consumer-directed personal assistance services, deaf/blind services, disability employment opportunities, personal care aid, and more.
