CenturyLink has always been my family. We have teamwork and collaboration in all aspects. Working with them is challenging but with enough support from your team, nothing is impossible.

Pros and Cons
Monthly awarding if top performers, food day, it was fun
Challenging but worth it

This company has no desire to develop talent or reward hard working honest people. It is built on a "shit rolls down hill" and if you are not willing to bend, break or have no morals or work under supervisors like this, then this is not the place for you. If you are willing to contort yourself to the latest trend, lie and smile and say , I got this. Well then you will fit right in. Upper management has no desire to hear your ideas, they just want to be cheered on and told what a great job they are doing. Stock has been as low as .78 cents in the last six months with no sign of real direction. There is however a lot of diversity, inclusion and cheers for the leader! Yeah! So if you are a skilled, intelligent individual with common sense, best of luck.

Pros and Cons
Pay check until they lay you off or fire you for diversities sake.
Working for the company. They are 20 years behind the times on inovation, fiber to the home, etc...

Due to bad decision after bad decision this company has lost it's way. At one time this was the best Telco to be working at, but the merger with QWEST and Level 3 have destroyed any respect CenturyTel and Embarq ever had. For the amount of cuts year after year, this organization still cries poverty and continues to cut the employee base where they need it the most. The Customers are beyond fed up with CenturyLink, and will jump ship as soon as StarLink is up and running. Do not invest you career future in a corporation without a future to survive in today's very competitive market. Platitudes and slogans cannot not save this sinking ship.

Pros and Cons
Great Pay and Benefits
This company no longer cares about it's Residential and Small to Medium sized business Customers. .

I whole heartedly agree. I was in Desktop Support and we had the best user satisfaction rating in the industry, at least in my area. They chose to outsource desktop support and helpdesk to an Indian based company with most support via shipping hardware to a depot and working without computers until they returned your equipment. I feel sorry for my users.

Constant mergers and reorganization. Layoffs often. Stared culture is not the culture. No work life balance. Meetings at 7am every morning and then some were 11-1am. They layoff all the people with knowledge which makes your job even harder.

Pros and Cons
Good pay for my remote area where I worked from home
No job security - layoffs just pop up whenever and often. Constant early or midnight meetings

Great place to work, pay bi-weekly, vacation, PTO and health benefits. Meet good people, team work is always a great factor to get the job done.

Pros and Cons
See places you would rarely not see in your time in Vegas.
Time is a factor and a challenge to complete the work needed.

Cant trust management by no means if you are in that certain management click your fine they will make sure your job is safe it was sales quote you had to meet some that was no good at sales and could not meet goals where promoted to management while there was representatives exceeded sales. There was a time when multiple representatives was caught for call avoidance for calling their own cell phone and setting on calls they was reps that was fed sales nothing happen but i know reps that was fired for alot less reasons 1 of thosecreps avoiding calls is now a supervisor. Over all job i loved the management sucks.

Pros and Cons
Fed often for different reasons
Bad management
