What does a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant do?

Functioning as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, we are responsible for preparing the technical summaries of patients. Our primary goal is to record the progress in patient’s existing conditions. We help patients with functional activities such as physical exercises and stretches. In the role of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, we are accountable for providing continuous support to the patients in the management of their health. We monitor the activities of patients and ensure they are performing the assigned exercises in an accurate and timely way. We work individually without anyone’s supervision and guide other therapy assistants in their work.

Core tasks:

  • maintaining the cleanliness of treatment areas
  • ensuring the proper functionality of the equipment
  • overseeing the supply inventory
  • providing guidance to the patients and their families about health care
  • tracking the daily progress of customers health
