Chaffey College has expanded substantially since its humble beginnings in 1890, graduating two students in 1890 and more than 2,800 in 2019. What was formerly an agricultural school now educates around 29,000 students each year in a wide range of academic, career, and vocational curriculum given in person and online. Geographically, the institution has expanded as well. In 1960, the school relocated from Ontario to Rancho Cucamonga, and by 1968, the college's service area had grown to encompass Chino, Chino Hills, Ontario, Montclair, Upland, Fontana, and Rancho Cucamonga. In the next years, two new campuses will open: Fontana in 1996 and Chino in 2008. Chaffey College has grown into a flourishing, nationally known learning institution, and it continues to grow with the help of the campus and surrounding community.
