Headquartered in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, Chanel is a house of trends centered on the women’s high fashion and ready-to-wear clothes, luxury goods and accessories. It was founded by Coco Chanel in 1909. The product brands of the company have been personified by male and female fashion models, idols and actresses and is also well known for the perfume Chanel No. 5 and the Chanel Suit. Fashion is popularized in the company by both high fashion and everyday fashion by replacing structured silhouettes which are based upon the corset and the bodice, with garments that were functional and at the same time flattering to the figure of the woman. Chanel is also distinguished for its Haute Couture collections which are presented twice in a year in Paris and for having a huge number of specialized suppliers who are collectively known as the Metiers d’Art. The company employs more than 28,000 people across the world at the end of 2019.

Chanel as a company is an incredible honor, however, working here you will never be recognized or promoted. There is very little upward mobility, and the few options available are gate kept.

Pros and Cons
The legacy of the brand
Bad work life balance, bad pay, toxic management, little opportunity to grow

Most of my Customer trusted my Professional Customer Svc. . I had their Credit Card and they almost never came in the Boutique after I had seen them in person. Each season I would send them the styles that matched their style. Replenish their skin care products speak with them on the phone. Great Customers, I am the one they trusted to dress them. My top Customer gave me lovely thank you gifts. Chanel spared nothing to give the best training each season on the new collections, plus international cultural training, which helped my sales and Customer Svc. Wonderful Employer, we did our training in Paris, we were also allowed to go to the Press Show in Paris, of course I meet Karl Largerfeld.

Pros and Cons
. The sales commission total was divided equally.
All equal rights.
