About Channel Development Manager

What does a Channel Development Manager do?

As Channel Development Managers, we are responsible for developing and growing relationships with channel partners. We develop sales strategies, negotiate with partners, and develop sales teams. We report to the VP of channel sales and build successful relationships with company partners. We develop effective strategies to hit defined goals of a company and train channel partners and their staff. Implementing a company’s standard training process and negotiating contracts is part of our daily responsibilities. We monitor the health of campaigns and observe key performance indicators set by the Director of sales. Working as Channel Development Managers, we create KPI reports and present them to higher management teams. We represent the company at industry trade shows and create promotional materials. We also pitch company offerings to prospects and set up a company booth.
