After 10 years of working for Charles Schwab, I found myself on the mass layoff list and was no longer employed. However, during my time there I met some of the most intelligent, caring and giving individuals I have ever met. The culture there was one that works to lift you up not hold you down, a win for you is a win for the whole company. I found friendships I never thought I would find and still keep in touch with to this day. The work I did was exciting and very fulfilling, I hope to find another position like that again someday.
Pros and Cons
The culture there was one that works to lift you up not hold you down.
Unfortunately, the company does do mass layoffs at times.

I loved working at Charles Schwab. The people were all varied in their experiences which also lead to the variety of humor around the office.
Many different groups were under the same ceiling, including creative, buyers, traders and others I didn't even understand. But we all got along, even though there were 'groups' among the groups. I talked with everyone across them all and had a great time specifically in my group of five and with all the others as I walked around and chatted when a break was needed.
All people knew what to do for their own group so questions could always be answered.
Pros and Cons
Friendly, wide ranging office, office dinners/parties, equipment
I honestly do not remember any cons of being here.

Company will have mandatory and voluntary overtime during ALL holiday seasons. Tenured employees allowed to dismiss this and “new” employees forced to obey. I worked multiple voluntary overtime shifts willingly & was let go for missing a day of a scheduled shift. After working there for a year plus, always timely and going above and beyond. Let go because of one no call no show emergency.
Typical call center environment that doesn’t care about the employees just the callers on the other end. Don’t be impressed that it’s a financial firm. Operates like any other call center in the area.
Pros and Cons
Micromanagement, if you like that.
Poor parking, takes up to 30 minutes just to leave the parking lot. One way in and out.

High end of salary range. Good benefits. Cafeteria is great. Only issue is there's no real career growth or progression. People stay in the same positions for 10+ years, but the competitive pay may justify this in some people's eyes
Pros and Cons
Salary, work life balance
No Career Growth
