About Chef de Partie

What does a Chef de Partie do?

Functioning as Chefs de Partie, we are responsible for preparing different foods in the kitchen of restaurants and food courts. We perform a number of different tasks that include preparation of foods such as cooking vegetables, frying the foods, grilling the meat, and preparing the desserts. In the role of Chef de Partie, we are accountable for maintaining the quality standards of the foods throughout the hotel. We also ensure the style and taste of new dishes recipes are in accordance with the restaurant’s owners. We prepare guidelines for the chefs to be followed for making the purified and clean foods. We directly report to the sous chefs and executive chefs of the hotel to provide them reports on the continuous progress.

Core tasks:

  • preparing specifically assigned meals for the restaurants
  • working under the direction of executive chefs
  • coordinating with the other members of our team
  • ensuring the good quality of foods
  • maintaining the clean environment of the kitchen
