Chestnut College is Northwestern Philadelphia’s college established in 1924. The institute started as a catholic liberal art college for women and is situated at 75 acres. The institute was named Mount Saint Joseph College formerly when it was established by sisters of Saint Joseph and renamed in 1938. Since its establishment, the college is serving demanding liberal arts education in diverse backgrounds including humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences. The institute aimed to prepare its students for their future life by training them intellectually, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Chestnut Hill College has awarded degrees to more than 11000 individuals since 1924. Their graduates are serving the fields of medicine, social services, education, business, law, and research.
